The Feathers and Boomscooter Sat March 14th 6:15 at the Cheese Factory!

Date:

Saturday, March 14, 2026 - 6:15pm

THE FRETLINERS are a 4-piece band that formed in the midst of the hugely talented Colorado bluegrass scene. Their songwriting, vocals, and harmonies capture the traditional feel of Appalachia bluegrass… the mournful, harrowing high lonesome tenor, the call of a freight train, springtime in Kentucky… but their instrumentation is a contemporary style reminiscent of Tony Rice, David Grisman, and Sam Bush. In 2023, THE FRETLINERS burst onto the Colorado scene, sweeping both the Telluride Bluegrass and RockyGrass band competitions. Since then they’ve opened for the likes of Leftover Salmon and Sam Bush and have expanded their reach to bluegrass festivals across the country https://youtu.be/Pg-k18j8vx4 . BOOMSCOOTER will open the night with mix of original songs and covers that highlight beautiful harmonies. Read more about The Feathers and Boomscooter Sat March 14th 6:15 at the Cheese Factory!

HAPPY NEW YEAR Music Fans!!! Hopefully you enjoyed the holidays and are ready to kick off the new year with some great news. We are thrilled to announce that THE CALIFORNIA HONEYDROPS are coming home to Langlois and will be playing at the Cheese Factory on Wednesday May 20th 2026!!

Wahoo! It’s about time! There’s no such thing as too many exclamation points in this case!!!!!!!

The Honeydrops were one of the first bands to play the Cheese Factory in its early days, winning us over with their world class talent and charm. Due to their huge success and fan base, they have outgrown any venue on the South Coast but, fortunately for us, the guys have a genuine fondness for Langlois and are excited to return for a SQUEEZE into our favorite dance hall

Due to the overwhelming response to The California Honeydrops coming to Langlois on May 20th (resulting in a sell out within 48 hours) we are very happy to announce that the band has agreed to stick around and play a second night on Thursday May 21st!

The Wilder Flower will be headlining the night with their beautiful take on bluegrass and traditional Appalachia music straight from the Carolina foothills, and they assure me they can lay down clawhammer banjo and Irish fiddle tunes all night long, so we’ll be dancing!            https://Thewilderflowermusic.com

Tiller of the Moon will open the night with their soulful, artistic songwriting that resonates with life on the southern Oregon coast. Tiller of the Moon is hugely talented and we’re lucky to have them amongst our midst. https://Tillerofthemoon.com

Sunday, February 2, 2025 - 6:00pm

Happy New Years everyone!!!

We here at Small n Dull are working to line up some good music this year at the Langlois Cheese Factory, starting with the Lowdown Brass Band on Sunday, February 2nd. Lowdown Brass Band is a one-of-a-kind horn ensemble that weaves the dancehall and street rhythms of Chicagoland into the conscious hip hop, reggae, and soul of lyrical frontmen MC Billa Camp and Shane Jonas. This is Lowdown’s fourth time playing the Cheese Factory, so they know Langlois demands a dance party, and they will deliver!
