Holiday Craft Fair at the Langlois Lions Club

Start the season with a visit to the 28th Annual Holiday Craft Fair at the Lions Hall on Floras Lake Loop Road just south of Langlois.  The fair will be held on Friday and Saturday, November 22nd and 23rd, from 9:00 AM to 4 PM and is sponsored by the Langlois Lions and the Friends of the Langlois Library

Talented South Coast artists and craftspeople will be displaying a fabulous array of crations which will make shopping for holiday gifts a pleasure.  Whether you are looking for a gift of wood, metal, fiber or locally grown food, you will find unique and surprising gifts at the Langlois Holiday Craft Fair.

Bring a friend and treat yourself to a lunch by our own World Famous Sandie McDonald.  Friday, Sandie is serving her chicken dumpling soup & bread, and on Saturday, Swedish meatball soup & bread.  Green salad & vegetarian options are available

Mary Hildebrand Memorial Plant Sale-Langlois Lions

The Langlois Lions Club will be holding our annual Mary Hildebrand Memorial Plant Sale Saturday, May 18 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Club House 48136 Floras Lake Lp. The sale will feature an outstanding variety of house, garden and yard plants from African violets to to succulents to veggie starts. Some highlights: Jennifer Ewing, garden expert on hand to answer your burning garden questions and David Woof’s beautiful garden-related pottery. Bandon Discovery Center’s eye-catching original fused glass plant markers will be also available. Sales of these items will benefit veterans’ workshops at the Sage with a portion being donated to the Langlois Lions.

Business donations of plants or plant related items include: Valley Flora, 101 Plants & Garden Center, Dragonfly Farm and Nursery, B & B Farm Supply, Raincoast Arts, Bandon Floral & Gifts, Currydale Farms, Floras Creek Brewing Co.( gourmet coffee beans), Langlois Market (coupons for World Famous Hot Dogs), and contributions from community members.

There will be plenty of coffee, parking and a chance to network with other green thumbs.

So it is well worth the visit and is of a great benefit for our charitable programs. We are also accepting plant donations Friday afternoon May 17h and the morning of the sale. For further information, call 541 348-2507.

Langlois Lions Scholarship Spaghetti Feed & Dessert Auction

The Langlois Lions will be hosting our Famous Spaghetti Feed on Saturday, April 6th at the Lions Club on Floras Lake Loop. This benefit event is ear marked for our 2019 Pacific High School $1000 Scholarship and promises to be a lot of fun and all for a good cause.

Dinner starts at 5 pm with dessert auction to follow. The menu includes: spaghetti with gourmet sauce, fancy coleslaw, garlic bread and drinks (coffee, tea and punch). Vegetarian option available. Cost: by donation.

Community members are cordially invited to bring a favorite, maybe even a world famous dessert to be donated to the auction. Even if one can not attend, a dessert will be appreciated. Donations may be dropped off on Friday, March 5th from 9am- 1 pm or Saturday from 8 am on. The community has always been very generous in this effort and certainly, the donations add to the event and help make a qualified PHS senior a very happy student, especially when making future career decisions.
