Langlois as an Artist Colony-Who Knew.

Unbeknownst to many, Langlois is home to many artists using various media to include painting, woodcarving, woodworking, spinning and weaving, fabric art, hand-crafted items of clothing, felting, pottery, jewelry making, greeting card making and more.

Some of this body of work can be seen at the RainCoast Gallery and the Wild Rivers Factory in Langlois and in other galleries in Bandon and Port Orford. There are also rotating exhibits at the local libraries, plus periodic special exhibits.

Below are four Langloisians (?) show their work after completing a watercolor/pastel class taught by a Langlois artist, Jean Stephenson.

Southwestern Oregon Community College Community Education Class- Better Bones & Balance

Spring Term: March 30- June 12

An introduction to Better Bones & Balance ™, this exercise program is designed to reduce the risk of osteoporosis and falling. This simple exercise program protects bones by halting bone loss and reducing fall risk by improving balance, muscle strength and power. (used with permission: SWOCC).

PE * 0582 Monday and Friday: 11: 45 -1:05 am ( for beginning students)

SWOCC Spring Fitness Class

Aerobics Fitness

Improve your cardiovascular system, muscle strength, body composition and flexibility while you burn fat and calories in these low-impact aerobics classes. Students are encouraged to work at their own fitness levels and modify moves for their fitness needs. Bring a mat or blanket for floor exercises. ( used with permission SWOCC)

Bring steps ( have some extra) for step exercises alternating weeks. Some people elect not to do the steps, so recommend not purchasing steps until participating in a couple of classes.

Location: Langlois Lions Club 9- 10 am, M-W-F
