Langlois Craft Fair Update

 

The Langlois Lion in partnership with the Langlois Library, is holding their 21th annual craft fair Friday and Saturday November 18 and 19th from 9 am- 4pm at the Lions Club, 48136 Floras Lake Lp Rd just south of Langlois off Hwy 101. The event features many vendors with a wide range of high quality items ranging from encaustic art to gourmet tuna; from jewelry and crafted household and personal wear items such as hand knit wool socks and hats. If this isn't enough to entice you, there are also quilts, hand made wooden items, jellies and jams, books and frozen local blueberries, minature succulent gardens and more. 

World Famous T shirts on sale as well.

The proceeds from the succulent gardens go to the Lions Club's charitable  programs.

Specifically, the Lions sponsor the baked goods table, coffee bar and supply the gourmet lunches.  Lunch on Friday: Sandie's world famous chicken pot pies/salad

Saturday:  New England Clam Chowder/cole slaw.

Community Outreach Program-Langlois Library

Tuesday, January 26, 2016 - 1:00pm

 Ginger Pearson from Coast Community Health Center (CCHC) will be at the Langlois Public Library on January 26th from 1p-3p and again on February 2nd from 5p-7p. She will be introducing individuals in Curry County to Self-Sufficiency Programs. These programs include such things as OHP, Energy Efficient Applications, Vaccination Information, Food Stamps, Food Bank, Help for the Homeless, Rental Information, Weatherization programs, etc.

Nanaymie Godfrey from Coos Health &Wellness will be discussing Social Isolation of the Elderly and homebound individuals as well a elderly suicide. I encourage those of you in the Langlois area to attend these programs if you or someone you know needs assistance.

In a small town like ours, we count on our friends and neighbors. Some people may not know how to ask for help, and these two women may be just what they need! Langlois 20th Annual Craft Fair

The event features many vendors with a wide range of high quality items ranging from art to gourmet tuna; from jewelry and crafted household and personal wear items such as hand knit wool socks and hats. Specifically, the Lions sponsor the baked goods table and supply the gourmet lunches. The Friends of the Library does the cookies. Our craft fair is almost famous- known for one of the best holiday bazaars around. It will be well worth a trip, especially if you haven't ever tasted the traditional soup of  Turkey, not to mention the complimentary and classic ( surprise) dessert.
