The Langlois Artisan Market is a pop up style artisan market that features locally sourced food, farm to table offerings, and locally crafted artisan goods. Created and hosted by Alexis Willick, Realtor with the intention of supporting local small businesses and the community. The Langlois Artisan Market always takes place in the world famous Langlois Cheese Factory and has a variety of different vendors each time! Come on down to the September event for food, live music, shopping, sipping, and to have a famously good time!
  • Saturday Sept 3rd: Sprengelmeyer’s Organic Food Truck, The Plate LLC, Prohibition Pops, and so many more. + live music from D'UNE inside and an outdoor concert starting at 1pm (Sly & CO *admission fee).
  • Sunday Sept 4th:Sprengelmeyer’s Organic Food Truck, The Plate LLC, The Tipsy Willow beverages, and amazing local vendors.

In 1854 and succeeding years, William V. Langlois filed land claims and purchased property north of Floras Creek, creating an amalgam of acreage for a family farm. (ref 1) William had previously owned a mercantile in Port Orford but desired a home on Floras Creek for his wife and seven children. (ref 2) One of his neighbors was A. H. (Alexander Hamilton) Thrift who shared similar agribusiness goals and had amassed 840 acres on the same fertile plain shored by the Pacific Ocean. Through influence and investment, both families would play an integral role in the upstart of grocers that would feed and supply the clientele of northern Curry County and its peripheral areas.
