THE FRETLINERS are a 4-piece band that formed in the midst of the hugely talented Colorado bluegrass scene. Their songwriting, vocals, and harmonies capture the traditional feel of Appalachia bluegrass… the mournful, harrowing high lonesome tenor, the call of a freight train, springtime in Kentucky… but their instrumentation is a contemporary style reminiscent of Tony Rice, David Grisman, and Sam Bush. In 2023, THE FRETLINERS burst onto the Colorado scene, sweeping both the Telluride Bluegrass and RockyGrass band competitions.
